  5. Power C Shell provides a menu-driven, integrated development environment
  6. for the Power C compiler from Mix Software.  With Power C Shell, you can
  7. edit, compile, link, test, and debug your Power C programs from a common
  8. interface.  Power C Shell's open-architecture design allows you to
  9. integrate your favorite text editor, 3rd party or custom libraries, and
  10. other development tools such as Mix Software's Power Ctrace into the same
  11. programming environment.

  13. Power C Shell supports complex projects by automatically opening all
  14. project component files.  Depending on the capabilities of your editor,
  15. you can edit individual project files or load all project components into
  16. multiple windows.  Power C Shell also monitors project development,
  17. letting you know when your changes have been compiled but not linked.

  19. For debugging, you can execute your programs directly from within Power C
  20. Shell, or you may choose to shell to the DOS command line and perform
  21. more complex testing operations.  You also have the option of launching
  22. Mix Software's Power Ctrace interactive debugging utility. While the
  23. pull-down menus make it easy to learn the program's operation,
  24. experienced users will appreciate the program's shortcut keys, which
  25. provide access to all program functions via a single keystroke.

  27. CJSLIB, a library of some two dozen useful C functions, is included, with
  28. full source code.  Perform such essential tasks as writing to the screen
  29. in color, drawing boxes and drop shadows, determining system
  30. characteristics, setting extended screen modes, and many more useful

  34. the CJSLIB programmer's library, an invaluable addition to your
  35. programming toolchest.

  39. excellent tutorial on such topics as menus, file management, context-
